The Historic Morganton Festival is an annual street fair held the Friday and Saturday after Labor Day. Come play in our streets!

Beginning in 1981, Historic Morganton Festival, Inc. was founded to encourage, foster, and stimulate public interest in the City of Morganton and the surrounding community, its historical, ethnic, religious, and cultural development and growth; to assist and aid in educating the public regarding the rich heritage of the City of Morganton, especially its downtown area; to promote friendship, citizenship, and cooperation among the people of Morganton, its churches, institutions and businesses and to create and maintain a sense of loyalty, brotherhood, civic and community pride among these groups.
