Description:

From Waxhaw Kaleidoscope Fest Website:

Waxhaw Kaleidoscope Fest marks the beginning of a year filled with reasons to spend time in Waxhaw! This two-day art-centric event takes place the third weekend in May, and showcases a variety of high-quality art mediums and handcrafted goods in our downtown. Kaleidoscope Fest is about All Things Art from fine art and crafts including woodworking, quilting, painting, pottery, etc., the performing arts like music, dance and theatre, the culinary arts featuring Waxhaw's Farmer's Market and fifteen food trucks, the martial arts, the art of craft brewing, and even the art of sewing, quilting, knitting, and flower arranging.

Historic downtown Waxhaw is a kaleidoscope of art forms and home to Eight Legs Gallery, Stewart's Village Gallery, The Bean and Belle Children's Art Studio, the Waxhaw Arts Council, the Waxhaw Junior Arts League as well as local and regional artists. With a draw of 10,000 visitors, Waxhaw Kaleidoscope Fest will provide the perfect venue to showcase your original works! Our vision is to transform the Waxhaw Kaleidoscope Fest into the region's premier work of art which in years to come will include additional art forms including culinary arts, musical arts, performing arts, murals, public art forms, and all things art. This is an opportunity to get in on the ground floor of this artistic art swell. Enjoy acoustic musical entertainment and street performances. Spend quality time with your children in our free Kids Zone complete with rides, inflatables, clowns, magicians, balloon twisters, facepainters, entertainers, and more. If you are hungry, choose from a wide variety of concessions!
