YACS 1-day multicultural arts festival event will be held at the Bowman Gray Stadium East Parking Lot with a parade kickoff event. YACS is designed as a diverse culture awareness initiative for at-risk youth and families who reside in concentrated low-income areas in Winston-Salem and Forsyth County. The one-day event will involve a range of cultural art performances, music, cultural foods, local businesses, storytelling, information session workshops (including in relation to beliefs, cultural traditions and the history of several cultural groups and their country of origin) and an art displays that will aim to build attendees' awareness and understanding of diverse cultures barriers and culture peace with invited continents North America, South America, Africa and Asia. The event also allows access to arts, specific culture beliefs, activities and diverse culture food, which otherwise is not accessible or available in the city.
