North Carolina is home to the biggest and highest density of black bears on the planet. The North Carolina Black Bear Festival exists to celebrate these fluffy (perhaps a little frightening) friends. For 3 days, the event hosts over 30 activities, from black bear tours in the wild, a 5k run with the bears and a paddle event to a black bear photography workshop, free boat rides and a bear fest pageant. Guests of all ages will surely be entertained, whether its by the live music and fireworks or the many bear activities throughout the weekend.
