Enjoy the farm while the lavender blooms! Inhale the sweet fragrance, craft with fresh lavender, take a farm tour and learn how we plant, harvest, preserve and process our crop. When you arrive early, you may enjoy breakfast pastries or a tasty farm fresh lunch, some recipes created with lavender, courtesy of The Picnic Basket catering. There will be refreshing and lavender-y ice cold treats too. On Saturday, watch visiting artists paint and sketch farm scenes. On Sunday, shop with local farmers raising produce and protein at our mini market with a selection of farms from the Hillsborough Farmers Market. Many exclaim visiting the farm is an annual tradition and an event not to be missed! You may wish to weave a lavender wand, basket or fairy crown from various shades of sweetly scented fresh lavender stems, or create a lasting sachet in the barn. The Poultry Palace is home to a lovely flock of hens, who will be clucking in celebration too. Spottie, the pony and Cyclops, the horse (he sees perfectly fine from both eyes! He has a center marking!!) love all of the activity and perk their ears and nicker from the pasture. Be sure to bring your hat, sunscreen, garden shears, camera, quilt or lawn chair. Purchase seedlings, watch demonstrations and visit our Lavender Garden Shed which will be stocked with our hand made lavender products for body, garden, gifts, home and weddings.
