The Folk School's Keith House Community Room hosts this memorable afternoon fundraiser, set for Saturday November 4 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. During Silent and Live Auctions, dozens of finely made crafts will be available for bids. Auction attendees will be tempted by forged metal, jewelry, pottery, fiber, and wood items. Attendees' bids support the Folk School's Clay Spencer Blacksmith Shop, known nationwide for its superb artist blacksmith program. The Auctions also support other acclaimed Folk School craft programs. Auction admission is free.

During the Silent Auction from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m., attendees can bid on fine crafts that would enhance any home. Folk School instructors, students, and other regional artists have donated these quality pieces. During this time, browsers can preview Live Auction items before this marquee event takes place from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Auctioneers Tim Ryan and Bob Grove enthusiastically lead the bids.

Just as Auction proceeds support the Folk School's renowned craft programs, many Folk School instructors gladly support the School that nurtured their creativity and artistic growth. The instructors have shown their appreciation by generously donating work to this year's Blacksmith & Fine Craft Auction.

As the Auction date draws closer, we'll be posting images of artist's items on our Blacksmith Auction website.
