Join the Town of Franklin on Monday, July 4th, for our Annual Independence Day Celebration! Activities get underway at 10:00am.
The day begins with our annual 4th of July Parade at 10:00am. While you go most places to see a parade, we actually invite you to participate! Deck out in red, white and blue and walk or drive down Main Street.
To join in, just be in the lower level of Franklin Town Hall for lineup beginning at 9:30 am. The route will take the parade down Main Street to Macon Bank to disband. Other events include a Patriotic Pet Contest at 11:00am and Free Watermelon (as long as it lasts).
Activities conclude at 1:00 pm. Many of our Downtown Merchants & Restaurants will be open so be sure to check out the many unique shopping opportunities and eateries Franklin, NC has to offer.
Following the Town of Franklin's activities, travel to the Macon County Recreation Park (south of Franklin on U.S. 441) and join the Franklin Chamber of Commerce for their annnual fun day and fireworks display.
It's a great day and evening of family fun in Historic Franklin, North Carolina!
