FRIDAY, July 22
BEER, WINE & SWINE Peoples Choice

Area restaurants and caterers compete for prize money, a trophy, and bragging rights for preparing THE BEST pulled pork BBQ in WNC. Each team is allowed to bring along one sauce.

Ticket holders will taste 2 oz samples of pulled pork from each team, along with a sample of baked beans and cole slaw, and then vote for their favorite pulled pork BBQ. Award will be presented on Saturday at 5:00 p.m.

Enjoy samples of the areas finest craft beers and locally made wine.

SATURDAY, July 23
MAGGIES BEST Peoples Choice

Today the Kansas City BBQ Society Professional cooking teams on site compete against each other in four categores: pulled pork, ribs, chicken, and brisket. Professional judges are on site to sample the teams entires. The entries are judged on taste, appearance, and tenderness. Teams earn points in each category and are awarded prize money and trophies for the top 10 entries. Awards are presented on Saturday at 5:00 p.m.

Following the main competition, several teams will enter their pulled pork BBQ in the MAGGIES BEST ( peoples choice) competition. Ticket holders wil sample 2 oz of pulled pork from each team then vote for their favorite. Award will be presented on Saturday at 5:00 p.m.
