Description: The 30th Annual Grassy Creek Mineral and Gem Show is put on by the Parkway Fire and Rescue to raise funds for new equipment.
It features 60 dealers from all over the world with gem stones, mineral specimens, fossils, jewelry, beads and lots more. If it is made of stone, you should be able to find it here.
There will be a BBQ on Saturday to raise the funds for new equipment. It is really good food. Come help out the fire department.

Hours: 10 to 6 daily.
Admission and parking are FREE.

Directions from US19E: Take US19E from the north or south to Spruce Pine, NC and turn south on Hwy 226 toward the Blue Ridge Parkway. Go approximately 3 miles to 12966 South Hwy 226 at the Parkway Fire and Rescue fire station on the right.
Directions from Hwy 226: From Marion, NC, follow Hwy 226 north to the Blue Ridge Parkway. Go under the Parkway and go approximately 2 miles to 12966 South Hwy 226 at the Parkway Fire and Rescue fire station on the left. From Bakersville, NC, follow Hwy 226 south and cross US19E and go 3 miles south on Hwy 226 to the Parkway Fire and Rescue station at 12966 South Hwy 226 on the left.
