The Lincoln County Apple Festival is held annually in downtown Lincolnton the third Saturday in September. The festival provides the community with a family friendly event that serves as an annual reunion for many folks. It is also a significant fund-raising opportunity for a number of local non-profit groups. The festival offers a wide variety of entertainment, food, crafts, and much more.

The Lincoln County Apple Festival, Inc. is a non-profit organization which is governed by a board of directors. The festival is put on by numerous volunteers, with tremendous support provided by key county and city agencies. The Lincoln County Cooperative Extension Service (link) serves as the coordinating agency for the event. Primary partner agencies are Lincolnton Public Works, Lincolnton Police, Lincoln County Sheriff, Lincoln County Emergency Management, Lincoln County Emergency Services, Lincoln County Maintenance, and Lincoln County Grounds.
