The Wild Goose is a Celtic metaphor for the Holy Spirit. We are followers of Jesus creating a festival of justice, spirituality, music and the arts. The festival is rooted in the Christian tradition and therefore open to all regardless of belief, ethnicity, gender, sexuality, denomination or religious affiliation.
Wild Goose is not a conference or a convention; it's a gathering, for four days in June 2012, for anyone who wants to interact with justice, spirituality, and art. You're invited to participate with us in conversations with key figures in politics, social justice, environmental care, and peace building; to hear incredible music and shape the future of spiritual activism in North America by making your own contribution to the questions of how to live well amidst a rapidly changing culture. Well have fun activities for kids, great food, and a relaxing, informal atmosphere that encourages real interaction between contributors and participants. With the first year of the festival behind us it is our goal and intention to build on the community that was formed last year and deepen the conversations and relationships that took root on a small farm in rural North Carolina. We fully expect those conversations to begin to reshape how those who took part view their faith and its interaction with the world.
