| Description: | WILMINGTON ART ASSOCIATION 28TH Annual Juried Spring Art Show and Sale April 9 - 11, 2010 Each year, during the North Carolina Azalea Festival, the Wilmington Art Association presents its Annual Juried Spring Art Show and Sale. WAA is a non-profit organization seeking to educate its members and the public in the fine arts, and providing community outreach services. WAA has established an outlet for creative expression for its members through The Wilmington Gallery, 616 Castle St., Wilmington, NC 28401. WAA membership applications may be obtained at The Wilmington Gallery or at www.wilmington-********.*** . PROSPECTUS SHOW LOCATION: Perry Hall at St. James Episcopal Church, 313 Dock Street, Wilmington, NC. ELIGIBILITY: The WAA Annual Juried Spring Art Show and Sale is open to professional and amateur artists, 18 years of age and older. Non-refundable entry fees are $30 for WAA members and $40 for non-members. ORIGINAL two-dimensional artwork may be submitted for judging and will be considered with the exception of computer-generated works and stained glass. No kits, copies, reproductions, or collaborative work allowed. Artwork must not exceed 25 pounds in weight or 48 inches in either direction, including frame. If appropriate, acrylic must be used (instead of glass) on pieces larger than 30 inches in either direction, including frame. AWARDS: Monetary and merchandise awards in excess of $4000 will be presented. | ||
