Description: The Raleigh St. Patricks Day Parade Committee is the organizer and sponsor for the parade and for the after parade festival held downtown in Moore Square . The parade grows bigger and better every year. The Raleigh parade is the second largest in the Southeast.

The parade has over 3,500 marchers including floats, pipe and drum bands, horses, dancers and many recognizable mascots. The parade is a celebration for all ethnic groups and cultures

The parade starts at the corner of Cabarrus and Wilmington streets at 12:00 Noon. The route proceeds north on Wilmington to Davie Street. The route turns west to Fayetteville Street and continues north to the State House. The route will pass the State House on the east side and then turn heading east on Edenton Street. The route then turns south on Blount Street.

The parade ends at Moore Square and the Festival begins!

Parade and Wearin O the Green Festival, large attendance with expanding food vendors and lots of new interest as the parade is growing every year.

EntertainmentAfter the Parade has ended, the Festival begins! At the festival there will be lots of entertainment with live music and dancing. In addition, there will be a wide variety of vendor booths: Irish Organizations, Irish jewlery and other trinkets, non-cultural organizations, food vendors, childrens games. Fun for the entire family! Celtic Rock from Homeland will be on the Shamrock n Roll Stage! Traditional Irish Dancing, Scottish Dance, Pipe and drum bands, Traditional Irish Songs and more Rock n Roll style Irish songs.
